Janette is a Derisking Professional with MBI’s biomass conversion team. She also holds the position as MBI’s Environment, Health, & Safety Coordinator. As part of the biomass conversion team, Janette is responsible for the analysis of various feedstocks as well as enzymatic hydrolysis of AFEX treated materials. In her role as Safety Coordinator, she takes credit for MBI’s outstanding safety record.
Janette has over thirty years of laboratory experience. Prior to joining MBI team, she held positions with Wyeth Laboratories and Ciba Specialty Chemicals, giving her the opportunity to garner a wide range of experiences as Quality Assurance, R&D, Nutritional Development, Technical Services, and Pilot Plant Management. Janette earned her bachelor’s from Spring Arbor University.
Away from MBI, Janette can be found with her ear up to the radio, listening to Tiger baseball and anything related to MSU sports. She especially enjoys cottage time at Morrison Lake with family and friends, and an ice cold Bud Light on hot summer days.
